MARIANA TRÍPOLI

Trípoli’s artwork derives from a need to communicate deep messages from the soul such as slow down, enjoy the true nature of life, be present, obstacles are non-existent among others. She uses threads, shapes in felt, seeds, and sometimes metal to create her pieces. Behind a simple and minimalist aesthetic there’s a whole world of meaning.

She chooses fibers to express herself in art as she feels textiles are the connecting thread that takes us back to the past, that continue living in the present and will remain in existence in the future. Textiles in her view, offer much more, and invite us to use more senses to connect with them.

She currently works from her home studio overlooking the valley of Chacras de Coria, in Mendoza, Argentina.
